Singer Ayu Ting Ting recently uploaded a photo with her lawyer, Sandy Arifin, on social media. As it turns out, the mother of one discussed the steps taken against people who have insulted Bilqis Khumairah Razak and her family on social media.
"We are still examining the evidence in detail and identifying the individuals who posted defamatory content about our client," Sandy said at the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Thursday (13/6/2024).
"We are still studying it. We are still examining the evidence in detail to determine if there are any violations of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law," Sandy added.
More than 20 social media accounts said Sandy had collected. These accounts hurl insults at Ayu and her family.
"There are a lot, around 20 to 30. The contents are varied. But one thing for sure is that they insult the child and the family relationship," said Sandy.
Sandy said that they are currently sorting out and prioritizing the accounts to be reported. They will first prioritize reporting accounts located in Jakarta and its surroundings.
"We want to know whether they are in Indonesia or abroad, in Jakarta or outside the city. We need to know their location first. I think we should start with those who are closer. Those in Jakarta, which we can reach by car," Sandy explained. Sandy said that they are currently sorting out and prioritizing the accounts to be reported. They will first prioritize reporting accounts located in Jakarta and its surroundings.
However, Ayu will only make a police report after the return of both of her parents who are currently performing the fifth pillar of Islam.
"Still waiting for the family to return, because they are currently performing the Hajj. If it's already fixed and the data we have collected is complete, we just have to wait for the decision from Kak Ayu and her family," said Sandy.
"So we want to give a deterrent effect to the perpetrators on social media," he concluded.
