Inul Daratista's Employee on Trial for Theft Case, Losses Reach Hundreds of Millions

Kapanlagi.com - The North Jakarta District Court is currently hearing a theft case involving an employee of the karaoke business owned by Inul Daratista, Inul Vizta. The spokesperson for the North Jakarta District Court, Maryono, revealed that the defendant named Leon Tada is charged with stealing several operational items from the company, including a Toyota Avanza vehicle along with its BPKB.

"There have been two hearings. On the 5th, the reading of the indictment, on the 19th, witness examination. Later on the 26th, the reading of the charges will take place," said Maryono on Wednesday (11/20/2024).

This case began from a report filed on June 19, 2024. In the indictment, Leon is said to have sold the company's operational vehicle and pawned its BPKB for Rp50 million. The proceeds from his crime, according to Maryono, were used for illegal activities such as online gambling, drugs, and clubbing.

"That's the modus operandi," said Maryono briefly.

1. Inul Daratista's Disappointment

Inul Daratista previously also touched on this case through her personal Instagram account. She expressed disappointment with the actions of the employee who was trusted to manage her business.

"Took 3 vehicle registration certificates and office money, ran away leaving the wife and kids," wrote Inul, conveying her frustration.

2. Hundreds of Millions in Losses

In addition to the car, the total loss experienced by Inul Vizta Sunter reached Rp136 million. The evidence recorded in the indictment also includes one unit of laptop belonging to PT Mitra Vizta.

"They said, all of that belongs to PT Mitra Vizta," added Maryono.

However, Maryono explained that in the indictment documents, only one vehicle registration certificate was recorded that was pawned by Leon. This statement is slightly different from Inul's post which mentioned that three vehicle registration certificates were stolen.

"In the documents, it seems there is only one vehicle registration certificate. That is the vehicle registration certificate for the Avanza car that was pawned," explained Maryono.

This case serves as a significant lesson for Inul and also for the public, considering the large losses incurred. With the reading of the charges scheduled for November 26, the legal process against Leon Tada will continue to attract public attention until the verdict is handed down.
