Once Refused Love from a Young Member of the Regional People's Representative Council, Selfi Yamma Wants to Focus on Career

Kapanlagi.com - Love affairs don't seem to be a priority for Selfi Yama. The champion of the Indonesian Dangdut League 2018 (LIDA) from South Sulawesi wants to focus more on her career.

When met during her visit to the Kapanlagi Youniverse office in Central Jakarta on Monday (13/1) afternoon, she told the story of how she met the young man. At that time, she was performing off-air in one of the regions in Sumatra.

"If it's about love, it will come naturally later. I've experienced it before, but I don't know if it was real or just a joke. Last time when I was performing in Sumatra, someone said, 'Selfi, do you want to be with me, do you want to marry me,'" said Selfi Yamma.

1. Introduced 'Future In-Laws'

Selfi said that the young man was not an ordinary young man, but a member of the DPRD. The young man immediately introduced Selfi to his parents.

"So there is a member of the DPRD who is said to be the youngest in Indonesia, so when he was performing off air in Sumatra, his father happened to be there, and he told me that he is a 'future father-in-law'," she continued.

2. Proposing to Selfi

Not only that, the young man even wanted to propose to Selfi. But she flatly rejected the proposal.

"He said he wanted to propose, do anything, but I rejected it. I said I wanted to focus on my career, the journey is still long, I'm only 20 years old," said Selfi.

Until now, Selfi admitted that she has no communication with the young man at all. She said that communication only happened when she was there.

"There is no contact, only when I'm there," she concluded.
