In a press conference at FX Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (5/7), Patrick Effendy, the Co-Founder and CEO of MLI, said that Lucu Flix was created after knowing what loyal MLI viewers wanted. It is also a step for the transition of various MLI content from YouTube to digital download.

"Lucu Flix can also be considered as a pivot point from YouTube to digital download and then to a subscription platform for watching videos. We call it a membership loyalty platform," said Patrick Effendy.

Patrick reveals and tells about how the content presented in Funny Flix. In the future, Funny Flix will become a platform like Youtube to broadcast various rare content owned by MLI.

"So the IP is from Youtube, some of which we move here with a production format, more 18+ content and so far what's already inside has quite positive comments and we continue to learn and continuously evaluate to create better content," he said.

2. Strict Audience Curation

In addition, it's not MLI if it doesn't provide different and daring comedy entertainment. Therefore, MLI is very strict in curating its audience.

One of the requirements to watch various daring content from MLI is that the audience must be 18 years old or older.

"We require this to be 18+ on our own platform. During registration, we ask the user to input their ID card number (NIK) to ensure that they are 18, because we also collaborate with brands that are 18+ such as cigarettes, alcohol, and others," he concluded.
