Tom Cruise received the Guinness World Records award for the category "Most Burning Parachute Jumps by an Individual". Tom Cruise won the title thanks to a dangerous scene where he jumped from a helicopter from a minimum height of 7,500 feet.

While doing this, Tom Cruise wore a parachute that had been soaked in fuel and set on fire before jumping. After floating for a few seconds while on fire, he cut the main parachute and immediately opened the reserve parachute to land safely.

Several jumps were made while carrying a 50-pound Snorri camera mounted on his body, to record the scene from a first-person perspective. A total of 16 jumps were made for perfection.

This scene was filmed in the Drakensberg mountains, South Africa. The parachute used can only withstand burning for 2.5 to 3 seconds before completely disintegrating. Therefore, the coordination between the helicopter pilot, camera crew, and stunt coordinator must be perfect. Timing is crucial, and even the smallest mistake can be fatal.
