In GJLS: IBUKU IBU-IBU, several bloopers are clearly displayed in the main scenes of this film. For those who don't know, bloopers are short clips from a film, television program, or video production that contain mistakes made by the cast or crew. Usually, bloopers are shown at the end of the film or in the post-credit scene.

"It's a leftist film, so to speak, because there are many scenes that are outside the norms of filmmaking, like 'wow, why is it like this?'. So there are a lot of surprising moments, it's really fun in this film," said Rigen in a segment of KapanLagi Show some time ago.

2. Has a Moral Message for Community Life

Rispo, who is addicted to online gambling and got caught up in online loans and chased by debt collectors, provides education for the Indonesian community to avoid the main source of financial problems: online gambling.

Tyo, who carelessly signed a modified agreement for Sumi's benefit, ultimately had to let go of his rental house certificate, which fell into the wrong hands. This serves as a lesson for the community to be careful when making agreements with anyone to avoid becoming victims of fraud.

A number of social phenomena presented in this film are very relatable and close to the lives of the Indonesian people. A life that feels very difficult is portrayed through Feni, who as a cigarette sales promotion girl earns just enough to live.

Sumi, the manipulative and cruel figure who exploits 'small gaps' to engage in illegal activities, represents many individuals who seek to gain large profits from the technologically illiterate, legally unaware society, and who do not validate many hoax news stories.

"Yes, that's right. So actually the story, in terms of synopsis, characterization, and background, is really very, very grassroots. It's a very normal life, like for example, the three of us, our jobs are like I'm a rain shaman, Rispo is the one who likes to guard the internet cafe and eventually got involved in online loans and gambling. Hifdzi is a dangdut host, and the reason why our jobs are like that is also because of our father. Because our father is a boarding house owner, and all this time the boarding house has been managed by our mother, and all the money is managed by her. Basically, our dad just reads the newspaper, drinks coffee, you know, it's a very grassroots life," said Rigen.

4. Research Before Production

Rispo mentioned that the production team and the GJLS trio conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with several people about this film. They wanted to find out what made the FGD participants laugh, and that was used to select the jokes in the film.

"Supported. The support from the production house and the director is already good. But interestingly, we once conducted an FGD, we tried testing this film on a few hundred people who really didn't know GJLS. The FGD was held in offices, and what we had prepared, the laughter points we had set up, turned out to make them laugh, and indeed this film is enjoyed by people who know GJLS will be very entertained. Monty Tiwa's function there is to guard the boundary of where this is still a cinema film, if it goes beyond that, it becomes a film (that is) on reels," said Rispo.

Rispo stated that the plot twists in this film happen every 15 minutes. This can be proven by the viewers who are very clueless about what happens in each segment. Although this claim can be debated, the plot twists in this film are indeed numerous and occur from the beginning to the end of the film.

"But this is why it's said to be strange, in one film, a plot twist every 15 minutes. Even just starting, if you watch later, the film starts, one minute in, there's already a plot twist," said Rispo.

6. Entertaining Experimental Film

With all its uniqueness and can be said to be 'against' the current of Indonesian comedy films, this film is claimed to be one of the experimental forms from the GJLS trio and several parties. Rispo, as a member of GJLS, also mentioned that there has not been an Indonesian film like GJLS: IBUKU IBU-IBU. He even referred to this film as an experimental film. "There has never been a film like this, in Indonesia, a comedy, but like GJLS: IBUKU IBU-IBU. It seems like this is the first film like this, and if this is successful, it just seems silly. It really seems like this is successful," he said.
