The Indonesian film industry is showing rapid development. As of October 2024, there are about 16 film titles that have reached 1 million viewers, and some of them have been screened at prestigious international festivals.

The film THE SHADOW STRAYS, which will premiere on October 17, has made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. In addition, there are many other Indonesian films in 2024 that have gained recognition on the international stage.

Let’s take a look at the list of Indonesian films that have gained global recognition this year. This development shows that the domestic film industry is increasingly being considered in the international film industry.
