Kapanlagi.com - Arbani Yasiz did not expect to be chosen to portray the character of Alif Fikri in the film RANAH 3 WARNA produced by MNC Pictures. Moreover, the film is adapted from the popular novel by Ahmad Fuadi with the same title.
Therefore, when he first received the offer, Arbani did not need to think long to accept it. For him, the role was like unexpected fortune.
"I am grateful to receive the trust from Uda Ahmad and MNC Movie to play as Alif," said Arbani during a casual conversation with journalists recently in Jakarta.

In order to portray the character of Alif Fikri successfully, Arbani was willing to undergo a strict diet and conduct in-depth research on the character of Alif. As a professional actor, he even learned the Minang accent, as well as English and French languages.
"I had to go on a diet because my weight was not like what was described in the novel about the character of Alif," explained Arbani.
Arbani admitted that he even experienced depression. He was afraid that he couldn't portray the character of Alif as the director expected.
"During the reading, it stressed me out, and even on the last day of shooting, I was stressed. Did I successfully portray the character of Alif? Alhamdulillah (Thank God), I was able to overcome all the challenges," said Arbani.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Fuadi stated that the story of RANAH 3 WARNA (The Colorful Domain) is part of a trilogy of novels he wrote, which includes Negeri 5 Menara (The Land of Five Towers) and Rantau 1 Muara.
"In Negeri 5 Menara, Alif is still in school, but in this (Ranah 3 Warna), Alif continues his education. However, being determined doesn't guarantee success, patience is also needed," said Ahmad Fuadi.
The film RANAH 3 WARNA is scheduled to be released in theaters in Indonesia starting from June 25, 2020.
