Derry Drajat Directs Horror Comedy Film 'WE NEED HAPPINESS EVEN FOR A MOMENT', Featuring Amanda Rigby - Fajar Sadboy as Actors

One of the new players in this industry is Golden Piranha Vision, which is ready to launch its first film titled WE NEED HAPPINESS EVEN IF JUST FOR A MOMENT. Fhis film is a combination of horror and comedy genres that raises themes of friendship and happiness.

Before production began, the film team held a press conference and provided assistance to orphans at a cafe in South Tangerang. The event, which took place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, started with a prayer reading and cutting of a cone, marking the beginning of the first film production of Golden Piranha Vision and the directorial debut of Derry Drajat.

The invited guests included Dripa as the Executive Producer, Derry Drajat as the director and writer, as well as the main cast such as Saskia Chandwick, Fajar Sadboy, Mang Osa, and many more. The event was also attended by several other actors like Amanda Rigbi, Jeff Smith, and Lisa Mae.

Derry Drajat explained that although this film is a horror comedy, the humor mostly comes from the scenes performed by the actors.

“We want the audience to see something different from the characters of the actors, so we did not involve comedians or stand-up comedians,” said Derry.

This is Derry Drajat's directorial debut, who was previously known as an actor. With a deep acting background, Derry hopes to explore the original characters of the actors in this film.

Derry also emphasized that this film will present ghosts that are different from most horror films. This approach is expected to provide a new experience for the audience.

"The ghosts in this film are beautiful and handsome, not figures that are scary with bloody or disfigured faces," he added.

3. Will Shoot in 10 Different Locations

For the production process, the film team will start shooting the next day with the first scene being a robbery at a bank. The shooting locations will be spread across 10 different places in the Jabodetabek area and are expected to take about 20 days.

Golden Piranha Vision hopes this film not only offers entertainment but also provides a new experience in the horror comedy genre, focusing on character authenticity and creativity in storytelling.
