Kapanlagi.com - The Lintas Melawai Volume 2: Golden Era music festival is back at Taman Kota Peruri Melawai, South Jakarta, from October 11 to 13, 2024. This music, arts, and culture festival aims to introduce the cultural heritage of Indonesia from the 80s to the younger generation.
Lintas Melawai also invites visitors to experience a nostalgic retro atmosphere, providing space for various groups to express themselves. The name Lintas Melawai refers to the activity of crossing Melawai Plaza, a shopping center in Blok M, South Jakarta, during the 80s.
At that time, young people often gathered in this area to hang out, show off their vehicles, and enjoy the atmosphere. This festival is enlivened by a series of legendary names such as Fariz RM, Ikang Fawzi, Harvey Malaiholo, KLA Projects, and many more.
“Back then, there weren’t many hangout spots, not like now. For me, back in the day, hanging out was there in Melawai,” said Denny Malik at the Lintas Melawai press conference in Block M area, South Jakarta, (13/9) Friday night.
"So, it was me and Denny who made it happen, even though we didn’t match up, we often competed when there were big events. Block M is very closely related to pop culture, you know, it’s an incredible nostalgia," added Helmi Yahya, at the same opportunity.
In addition to musical performances, this festival will also be enlivened with various activities such as an Automotive Parade, Beauty Bazaar, Culinary, Zumba, Fashion Show, Breakdance, and much more. With a concept that revives the glory of the 80s, Lintas Melawai Volume 2 is expected to be a colorful nostalgic journey, uniting old memories with modern innovations.
There will also be a lineup of famous musicians including Fariz RM, Ikang Fawzi, Harvey Malaiholo, Yana Julio, Lita Zein, Ita Purnamasari, Libels, Deddy Dhukun, KLA Projects.
Also present will be Krakatau Band, Trie Utami, Keenan Nasution, Ahmad Albar, lan Antono, Pasha Chrisye, Pancaran Sinar Petromaks, Barry Likumahuwa, Karimata, Natasya Elvira, Sandro Tobing, Chaplin Band, Solid 80, Kadri Mohamad, Acid Speed, and other singers and music groups.
