Film 'THE HOSTAGE'S HERO' Starts Shooting, Starring Yama Carlos to Asri Welas

The Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali, accompanied by the Chairperson of Jalasenastri Mrs. Fera Muhammad Ali and the Executive Producer of PT Iswara Rumah Kreasi Nusantara Irza, officially opened the first shooting event.

1. Heroic Story

THE HOSTAGE’S HERO tells the heroic story of the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) who bravely faced piracy in the Malacca Strait for the safety and honor of the nation.

In line with this, the film raises the motto “Duty, Honor, and Love: When the Sea Calls, They Must Choose.” Notably, Revo S. Rurut serves as the director of this film.

2. Inner Conflict

Admiral (Ret) Ahmad Taufiqurohman and the Naval History Service (Disjarahal) supervise the script. This film tells the story of Lieutenant Colonel Taufiq who leads the KRI Karel Satsuitubun (KST)-356 in a high-risk operation to free hostages from the MT Pematang against brutal pirates.

This story also highlights the inner conflict of Lieutenant Colonel Taufiq, who on one hand is a father who rarely meets his family, but on the other hand must restore the world's trust in Indonesia, through a silent operation filled with tension that adds a deep emotional layer.
