First Time Casting in 'KKN DI DESA PENARI', Tissa Biani Offered to Choose Between These 2 Characters

Kapanlagi.com - After a long wait, the horror movie KKN DI DESA PENARI will finally be released soon, precisely on April 30, 2022. As known, this movie was postponed for 2 years due to the pandemic.

Not only film lovers are excited for the presence of this film directed by Awi Suryadi on the big screen, but also the cast. Like what Tissa Biani felt who will play the character of Nur.

"I am very happy and excited, because as a player, I have been waiting for this movie to be released. But maybe the opportunity is back, because Covid is getting better, so it will be released this year. But it really feels like happy, and I haven't watched the movie at all, so I can't wait to watch it for the first time at the premiere," said Tissa in an exclusive interview with KapanLagi.com recently.

1. Didn't Expect to Be Offered Casting in 'KKN DI DESA PENARI'

A little flashback, Tissa remembers when the story of KKN di Desa Penari went viral on Twitter in 2019. As an active figure on Twitter, of course, at that time Tissa followed the euphoria of the viral thread written by a user named Simpleman.

"As a netizen, I followed it enough because I happened to play Twitter. And at that time, KKN was very viral on Twitter. So, I really followed the story, from the euphoria of Twitter readers. So, when offered the movie, I didn't expect it," continued Dul Jaelani's girlfriend.

2. Offered Characters Nur and Widya

Initially, when receiving a casting call, Tissa was offered to try out for 2 main characters, Nur and Widya. And after going through it, the final choice fell on the character of Nur, who is quite central to the main story.

"I was already a fan of KKN beforehand, and suddenly I was offered to play either Nur or Widya at the time. Then finally I was chosen to play Nur. Of course, I am happy and grateful, so I want to make something cool because I was already a fan before," explained Tissa again.

"As for me, I never expected it at first. Because I was just a reader of KKN on Twitter, but it turned out that I was offered anything as long as I played in the KKN movie," she concluded.

3. Adinda Thomas Plays the Character of Widya

If Tissa was appointed to play Nur, then the character of Widya will be played by the beautiful actress Adinda Thomas. On a different occasion, Adinda recounted the difficulties she experienced while bringing the character of Widya to life in the film.

"Widya is really stressed out. I feel like it's quite heavy to play Widya because detaching the character from my body also requires a long process, because it's too deep. Widya herself is quite serious," recalled Adinda when chatting with KapanLagi.com recently.

4. Various Challenges Faced by Adinda Thomas

Living through a horror film production is indeed a new challenge for Adinda. The girl who has a hobby of adventure must learn many new things in order to bring her character Widya to life.

"It was tough (Javanese accent difficulty). But after 2 years, the Javanese accent left me. At the beginning of the preparation, we had a coach for the Javanese accent, for dancing, and for a workshop with snakes. Well, I got to learn the Javanese language accent and had a workshop with snakes," she continued.
