New Season of 'MY LECTURER MY HUSBAND' Introduces Third Party Element, Manoj Punjabi Denies Following 'LAYANGAN PUTUS'

Kapanlagi.com - Almost a year since the success of MY LECTURER MY HUSBAND, MD Entertainment has released its second season. This series still features Reza Rahadian and Prilly Latuconsina as the main cast couple.

In the first season, the problem arose because Inggit had a boyfriend named Tristan played by Kevin Ardilova. In the latest season, the problem is presented by Arya's friend named Karin, who is plotted against actress Estelle Linden.

1. The Third Woman

The issue does revolve around the presence of a third woman. However, Arya and Inggit's lives are no longer the result of a matchmaking, but as husband and wife.

"In terms of story design, this is a dramatized everyday household life. There are both third parties, but they are women. Plots like this always make it more interesting," said Manoj when met at MD Place, Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Saturday (21/5/2022).

2. Not Following 'LAYANGAN PUTUS'

Although featuring a third party as a conflict, Manoj Punjabi denied that the second season of MY LECTURER MY HUSBAND wants to follow the success of LAYANGAN PUTUS. Because the production of the series was done beforehand.

"Just so you know, this was filmed before LAYANGAN PUTUS. But because LAYANGAN PUTUS was successful, it was compared. I also questioned how it could happen, but the third party can happen in anyone's life," said Manoj.

3. Hoping Not to be Hated

Estelle Linden, who played Karin, had to think long before accepting the role in the latest season of MY LECTURER MY HUSBAND. Because the connotation of being a third party is very negative.

"When I knew that I had to play the character of a third party, I was nervous because of its negative connotation. But after reading the script and seeing how it would be executed, I became interested. I hope that later on, neither I nor Karin will be hated too much," said Estelle on the same occasion.
