Kapanlagi.com - After being postponed for two years, the superhero film SATRIA DEWA: GATOTKACA is ready to be released in cinemas throughout Indonesia starting Thursday (9/6/2022). During that time, there was apparently one actor's name that had not been announced for their involvement.

During the press screening, it was revealed that Fedi Nuril was involved in Hanung Bramantyo's action film. He plays a character named Aswatama.

1. Offered to be Involved by Hanung Bramantyo

To the media, Fedi Nuril admitted that he was initially confused when offered by Hanung Bramantyo to be involved in the film SATRIA DEWA: GATOTKACA. Because as far as he knew, the cast had already been assembled.

"I was actually about to shoot SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 3, then Mas Hanung offered me a role. I was surprised, because as far as I knew, the actors were already locked," explained Fedi, who was met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Monday (6/6/2022).

2. Play the Antagonist Character

Fedi Nuril was even more surprised when he found out that he would be playing the antagonist character named Aswatama. This made Fedi even more interested because it was a challenging role for him.

"When I found out I was going to play Aswatama, I was surprised, curious, excited, and also thinking about it. Because he's a Kurawa, he's known as an antagonist," explained the husband of Calysta Vanny Widyasasti.

3. Wants to Reverse Stereotypes

Fedi Nuril is known as an actor specializing in protagonist roles. Being chosen as Aswatama was apparently intentional by Hanung Bramantyo. He wants to break the stereotype that is attached to Fedi's figure.

"Kurawa in wayang has an ugly face, while Pandawa looks handsome. Here, I'm reversing it. Why should there be stereotypes? I don't want to be like that. I want to reverse it all," explained Hanung on the same occasion.
