"The shooting is planned for early October in Jakarta and then in Sydney, Australia, while the release is scheduled for early 2025 in addition to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, America, the Philippines, Pakistan, and OTT (Netflix)," she stated in a recent written statement.

TEARS OF A CONVERT tells the story of Angie (Acha Septriasa), who becomes a victim of physical violence from her boyfriend, Ethan (Matthew Williams). Unable to endure Ethan's treatment, Angie, who is battered, escapes and collapses in front of a mosque. She is rescued by a girl who manages the mosque.
Angie then becomes interested in learning about Islam. She takes refuge at her friend Nina's (Syamim Frieda) house along with her husband, Ramli (Yama Carlos). This couple invites Angie to join a study led by Ustaz Reza (Achmad Megantara). Angie embarks on a new spiritual journey.
