Actress Marissa Anita Happy Jakarta World Cinema Week Presents Films from Major Festivals

At the opening night, Marissa Anita took the time to attend alongside actors and filmmakers. She watched the film THE SUBSTANCE by Coralie Fargeat, which won the best screenplay award at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

Marissa Anita expressed her happiness that Jakarta World Cinema Week could bring THE SUBSTANCE for its premiere screening in Indonesia. Not to mention other titles that she has been eyeing.

"I am happy that in this third year, the films chosen are those that have entered major festivals. Everyone is really happy that Jakarta can host a film festival on this scale," said Marissa when met at CGV Cinemas Grand Indonesia, Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Saturday (21/9/2024).

2. Exposed to Great Films

With the presence of films like THE SUBSTANCE at Jakarta World Cinema Week, Marissa Anita revealed that this is great for Indonesian audiences. Because they can witness quality presentations.

"With the existence of international film festivals like this, Indonesians can watch easily, with ticket prices that are even cheaper than usual. So it is indeed made accessible for many people. So when great films are exposed, we can definitely learn from the films we watch," emphasized Marissa Anita.
