Not the Type Who Likes to Be Exposed, Prisia Nasution Claims to Be More Comfortable as a Director

This time Prisia will release her second feature film, but for screening in theaters. The film produced by Minka Rosie Production is titled KAMU ADALAH AKU, which is a psychological thriller.

Although known as an actress who has won the Citra Award, Prisia Nasution admits that something is missing in acting. When she tried directing both films and series, she found that this was what she had been looking for all along.

"I am actually a person behind the scenes, I don't really like exposure. The film industry is very enjoyable in many aspects, but when I act, I feel a sense of 'Ouch' all this time. When I tried directing, it turned out to be the answer. There is so much to explore, and in the end, I became interested in being behind the scenes," said Prisia when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (23/9/2024).

2. Exploring Character

As an actress, when becoming a director, Prisia Nasution considers the role of the actors to be crucial. According to her, the actors are the soul that can bring an audio-visual work to life. Especially in YOU ARE ME, she was given the freedom to develop her vision and mission.

"In this production, they gave me the freedom to express myself. Because my background is as an actress, one of the most important factors is the actors because they can drive the story, bring emotions, and carry scene by scene. I specifically delve into the character," said Prisia.

3. Ready to Liven Up the Film Industry

YOU ARE ME is one of four films that will be released by Minka Rosie Production in 2025. In addition, there are UNINVITED GUEST, ROOM HALLWAY, and CURSED TOWER which features a haunted tower in Jakarta.

"These are the four best titles that we are launching. I believe these four titles are very close to the community but are rarely explored deeper within the already popular genres. All four are in the post-production process and ready to be screened," said Lady Diana as the producer in a separate interview opportunity.
