Shooting in Labuan Bajo, Dimas Aditya to Nugie Involved in the Film 'LIMA BINTANG TIMUR'

Kapanlagi.com - KG Pictures will soon start the production process of their latest film titled LIMA BINTANG TIMUR in the near future. This family drama genre film will be shot in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on November 27, 2023.

The producer and director of this film, Benny Rahmadani expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to start shooting his second film. Benny explained that the shooting will be done intensively in Labuan Bajo, which is famous for its extraordinary natural beauty.

"We decided to shoot everything in Labuan Bajo, we will bring all the cast to Bajo," said Benny in a press conference at Gallery Indonesia Kaya, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/11/2023).

According to Benny, the shooting process of this film is estimated to last for one month. With a story written by Anggoro Saronto, the film LIMA BINTANG TIMUR is directed by Benny Rahmadani and Annisa Meutia, with the support of DOP Rama Hermawan.

"It developed and then we decided today a total of 23 days+1 contingency but overall it's more than a month in Labuan Bajo," Benny said.

This film features several main actors such as Andreas Lionel Grild Baga as Kobus (the Football Ace), Yassien Omar as Noel (the Singing Ace), Ferdinand as Moe (the Math Ace), Destiny David Obinna as Jose (the Boxing Ace), and Amanda Putri as Christal (the Piano Ace).

In addition, there are names like Dimas Aditya, Imelda Therinne, Jenda Munthe, Melly Manuhutu, Nugie, Rizky Anggono, Yosef Afrianus, Wawan Loso, Unang Bagito, Irene, Sahira Anjani, Husni Ramdan, and Nikolaus Sada who also play a role in this film.

LIMA BINTANG TIMUR tells the story of Christal, a child with talent in playing the piano. Her life changes drastically when she has to move to Labuan Bajo for her father's two-year assignment.

2. Many Challenges

In Labuan Bajo, Christal experienced many challenges and difficulties, especially at school. She also had conflicts with four classmates: Noel (Singer), Kobus (Footballer), Yosep (Boxer), and Samuel (Mathematician).

However, the situation changed when the school foundation decided to close the school due to a lack of new applicants. A teacher, Bu Asri, tried to save the school by forming a choir to participate in auditions, hoping to win the competition and attract the interest of the local community.

Initially, Noel, Kobus, Yosep, and Samuel were invited by Bu Asri to join the choir. However, after learning about Christal's talent in playing the piano, they invited her to join the group.
