Shooting the Film 'NARIK SUKMO', Febby Rastanty Admits to Being Afraid and Having Mystical Experiences on Set

Febby experienced a terrifying incident while shooting in the Wonagama forest area, Yogyakarta. On one of the shooting days that started at dawn, Febby felt the atmosphere of the location was very eerie and the mystical aura was very strong.

"I had that horror experience from 5 AM or 4 AM while shooting in an area called Wonagama in Jogja, which is indeed a forest area that is certainly thick with horror and mysticism," she said.

After shooting, she was invited to take photos by the extra cast members. But later, Febby was shocked to hear that there was a 'different figure' that was also caught in the photo. The figure was even standing right next to her.

"After we finished shooting, I was invited to take photos with the extra supporting cast that were there, and then a few days later I was told that there was something in the photo next to me," she recounted.

Due to an overwhelming sense of fear, Febby even refused to look at the photo before the shooting process was completed. She was afraid that her emotions would be disturbed and that she wouldn't be able to finish the shoot well if she knew the content of the photo beforehand. "Then after that, when it was about to be shown to me, I didn’t want to see it, don’t show it to me until the shooting process is over," said Febby.

Only after the shooting process was completely finished did Febby feel calm enough and finally muster the courage to see the content of the photo. For her, this experience became a lesson to appreciate nature and the unseen energy more. "So after the film shoot was over, like we were about to wrap up, I was like, ‘Can I see what the photo looks like?’" she said while laughing.

Despite being scared, Febby continued the shooting process professionally. She also reminded the importance of maintaining attitude and manners when in places believed to have special energy. “Because we are side by side, right? So we just respect each other since we are the newcomers, so we just ask for permission,” she said.

The film NARIK SUKMO, starring Febby Rastanty, will start screening in Indonesian cinemas on July 3, 2025. With a mystical story and a strong local cultural atmosphere, this film promises a different horror viewing experience.
