Ipung (Ardhana Jovin) lives with his grandfather (Landung Simatupang) and grandmother (Sri Isworowati) in a small village in Yogyakarta. Their simple life runs peacefully, colored by a strong belief in the myth of taboos.

Grandfather and grandmother often remind Ipung about the prohibition of whistling at dusk. According to them, whistling at that time can summon evil spirits that mislead humans.

However, curiosity makes Ipung break that advice. He continues to whistle at home as dusk approaches, thinking that the prohibition is just an old story without meaning.

Since that night, Ipung begins to experience terror. In his sleep, he dreams of being chased by figures resembling his loved ones. The dream always ends with the shadow of his own death.

Not only in dreams, disturbances continue to haunt him while he is awake. A faint shadow stands in the corner of the room, the sound of a ghostly whistle follows his every step, leaving Ipung gripped with fear.

Finally, Ipung realizes that the curse is real. Every violator of the taboo who whistles at dusk must replace the previous spirit trapped in the supernatural realm. Now, Ipung's own soul is threatened to become part of that curse's cycle.

Directed by Wahyu Agung Prasetyo, who previously succeeded with the short version of SINGSOT and won an award at the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2016. Now the extended version presents a more gripping and profound story.

Through this film, the audience is invited to reflect on the meaning of local traditions and beliefs. The taboo myth, often taken lightly, actually holds a message about the boundary between curiosity and the consequences that must be borne.
