Both the director and the main producer, Wicky V.Olindo, claim they want to present something that feels more innovative for this one of the country's best-selling film genres. "If we look at it, maybe some other films have a pattern or something that repeats. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s not bad at all, and perhaps if you look here, there’s also something similar to other films. However, when we delve into (the part) of the investigation and the point of view of the character Satine or Marthino Lio, what we see is something deeper from the perspectives of those characters." As a director who often works in the action genre, Tommy Dewo strives to showcase his main expertise through DEVIL'S BUTCHER: INHERITED SIN. Before working on the film, he revealed that the idea of presenting supernatural elements, action, and crime investigation as additional values was realized to elevate the horror genre. This aims to demonstrate the cohesiveness of the four elements in the film.
"Actually, in a story, we have to choose whose perspective will tell the story. Coincidentally, I chose the character Daru as a representative of our world that is not familiar with the supernatural and has to face characters like Ningrum and Pakunjara. What will he do to enter their world, huh?" said the director while attending a press conference at XXI Epicentrum.

The appearance of Satine Zaneta as Ningrum and the character Pakunjara portrayed by Niken Anjani at the same time in THE DEVIL'S BUTCHER: INHERITED SIN is an exciting moment presented. The two characters must fight against each other to carry out their respective missions.
In an effort to delve into the character of Pakunjara, Niken Anjani admitted that she needed a lot of discussions with Tommy Dewo to embody the character well. The character played by the actress is described as a mysterious, persistent, tenacious woman, and very loyal to Eyang Guru—a higher entity than herself.
"As for her cruelty (Pakunjara), it’s actually not forced. So, it’s not that the expression is intentionally made; it actually grows from the backgrounds that we have created together with Pak Tommy." Niken Anjani remarked when asked about how she immersed herself in the character she portrayed.
On the other hand, Satine Zaneta, who appears with a weapon that is a blend of a scythe and a sword in THE DEVIL'S BUTCHER: INHERITED SIN, revealed that the training process using the weapon itself took about three months. She also disclosed that the duration to master all the action choreography intensively reached up to two months.

Both Satine Zaneta and Niken Anjani are known to face their own challenges during the shooting process. The child of the couple Abimana Aryastya and Inong Ayu mentioned that one of the obstacles she faced was when she had to adjust the timing of her choreography movements with the stuntman.
"Then, there are several fighting scenes that use camera techniques that are quite complex. So, the coordination with the camera department team also has to be precise, you know." Added Satine Zaneta.
Meanwhile, Niken Anjani was reported to have to confront her fear of heights for the smooth filming of a scene where Pakunjara stands on the rooftop. Fortunately, the director, who was aware of her fear, was always ready to guard her from behind while squatting so that she wouldn't be seen by the camera.

In THE DEVIL'S BUTCHER: INHERITED SIN, Marthino Lio plays the role of a journalist affectionately called Daru. His character is depicted as someone thirsty for the facts behind a mysterious crime case, but suddenly he gets dragged into the affairs of Ningrum and Pakunjara.
According to Marthino Lio, Daru's interaction with the supernatural world serves as a symbol for him to rise from his despair. The character is known to have gone through various bitter sides of life, including being abandoned by his wife and own child. However, he refuses to take off the wedding ring on his finger because that object serves as a reminder that he has experienced failure in life.
Kiki Narendra also appears in this latest horror-action film by Tommy Dewo, playing the role of the editor-in-chief. His presence as the superior of a news media encourages Daru to investigate deeper into a murder case that is considered ordinary. As time goes on, the actor assesses that the stance of the character he plays becomes shaky when the oddities of the incident begin to unravel, leaving him enveloped in doubt.
"Interestingly, here (THE DEVIL'S BUTCHER: INHERITED SIN) it's not just a horror or action film, but I like it (because there's) investigation. I enjoy investigative documentation like on Netflix and all kinds of platforms. So, there is that element that makes me (think that) this is one of the new stories that might not be very common or present in Indonesia." said Kiki Narendra.

Ningrum (Satine Zaneta), a 19-year-old girl, is confined in a mental hospital due to alleged delusions after killing a family that was performing an exorcism on her child with the help of a cleric. This news leads a journalist named Daru (Marthino Lio) to be assigned to visit and interview Ningrum.
During the interview, Ningrum claims that she is a devil butcher who has entered the human world. According to her confession, the family she killed were demons manipulated by Pakunjara (Niken Anjani) to resurrect the leader of a devil-worshipping cult.
Daru, who has become trapped in this situation, has no other choice. He must help Ningrum confront Pakunjara and the demons that will be resurrected. The story of the battle between Ningrum and Pakunjara will be spiced with puzzles that test logic and faith.
