The focus of this film is on a character called Nanny McPhee. She is hired by a wealthy widower, Cedric Brown, to take care of his seven mischievous children. Because of their misbehavior and constant chaos, no nannies can endure and stay.

However, Nanny McPhee has a different appearance compared to other nannies. She wears a long black dress, carries a long cane, has sharp eyes and warts on her face, and her body is chubby and seemingly never smiles.
