AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors Russo Brothers Believe SECRET WARS Will be More Famous than the Entire INFINITY SAGA

Kapanlagi.com - The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in a unique position. Moreover, Phase Four will be a new breakthrough, with the INFINITY SAGA and characters like Iron Man and Captain America. No one knows where the Marvel Cinematic Universe will go next, although the Russo brothers have ideas for a comic storyline that will be even "more famous" than the whole saga and the crossovers that occurred in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME.

The Russo brothers directed four films for Marvel. THE INFINITY STONES were introduced systematically before finally being collected by Josh Brolin as Thanos. A total of 21 films contributed to the events of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, but there is a more epic plot that, according to the Russo brothers, will be translated well into the film. The conversation started when asked what might convince the directors to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Russo said:

"This will be the biggest film you can imagine, so that's what really excites us about this story - its ambition is even greater than the ambition of the INFINITY SAGA."

The Russo brothers have done great things with films like CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and their pair of Avengers films. They managed to balance many characters and tell emotionally engaging stories. And if Marvel Studios wants the Russo brothers to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this will be an even more epic story.

Lucky for fans hoping they will direct other Marvel characters, Joe Russo has some ideas about what kind of story might be more epic than the entire INFINITY SAGA. During a conversation with a media outlet called Bro Bible, he revealed one comic book plot that could work, which is Secret Wars. They expressed their love for Secret Wars, saying:

"I read it when I was 10 or 11 years old, and it was one of the great comics that tells the story of a large-scale gathering of heroes. Its best stories and what happens when we combine all of that. I also like the idea of antagonists having to work together with the heroes. We both like antagonists who believe that they are the heroes in their own story, so it's all included in the concept of SECRET WARS."

Did you hear that? It's the sound of countless Marvel fans cheering. While the Russo brothers currently have no plans to direct another blockbuster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are still some stories waiting for them. Especially SECRET WARS, which is an iconic plot point that pits heroes against antagonists in battle.
