Obtaining Permission from the British Government, Tom Cruise Resumes Filming MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7

Kapanlagi.com - The British Government has implemented a 14-day quarantine rule for individuals returning from abroad. This policy aims to prevent a second wave of the coronavirus outbreak. Previously, the British Government had exempted citizens from undergoing a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in the UK, but citizens of the United States were not included in the list.

However, this exemption does not apply to Tom Cruise. Being granted an exemption does not mean disregarding the policy; those who are exempted must fulfill certain requirements specified before entering the UK.

After the British Government granted permission for the production of an American film, filming for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 resumed. Previously, filming for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 had halted at the end of February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is rumored that the continuation of filming for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 was agreed upon by the UK Secretary of State for Culture, Oliver Dowden, and Tom Cruise. This film is one of the first major blockbusters to resume production.

First Assistant Director, Timothy Gormley, stated that at the beginning of this year, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 was scheduled to resume filming in Venice in September, as reported by Cinema Blend on Monday (6/7/2020).

It is not yet clear how the cast and crew will make the film on location. However, according to actor Simon Pegg, the production of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 is likely to start with all outdoor scenes. Then people who work closely will be required to take a COVID-19 test first to prevent transmission.

The COVID-19 pandemic certainly has an impact on the delay in film production. Both MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 and 8 were originally planned to be released on July 23, 2021, and August 5, 2022. However, after the shooting was delayed, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 will be released on November 19, 2021, and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 8 will be released on November 4, 2022. With the constantly changing release dates, it is not surprising if those dates can change again.
