'TENET' Christopher Nolan Postpones Release Date Indefinitely, Warner Bros Reveals New Strategy

However, the premiere had to be postponed again to July 31 and finally set for August 12 for its theatrical debut. However, the screening of the film has not been determined for New York and Los Angeles areas due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, which resulted in the closure of most cinemas.

TENET is a film that falls under the genres of Action, Drama, and Thriller. It is directed by Christopher Nolan and the new trailer for TENET has been officially released by Warner Bros Pictures on their official YouTube channel on Thursday, May 21, 2020. The film's trailer includes beautiful shots taken in 7 different countries. Most of the details about the film are not known for certain, as the official trailer doesn't explain much about the storyline but focuses more on the impressive visuals that involve time inversion.

TENET is a science fiction film that depicts the world of international espionage involved in a secret organization with the ability to reverse time. This film stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson who play two agents trying to stop World War III. In this film, John David Washington is placed in a very confusing time where he finds himself in a place but doesn't remember his past. The film also features renowned artists such as Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy, Himesh Patel, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

It seems that the US public will have to wait before Warner Bros feels confident enough to release the film in theaters. Warner Bros Chairman, Toby Emmerich, stated that they will announce a new release date for Tenet in 2020. They plan to market and distribute TENET differently than usual, such as the day and date of release.

Some countries in the world seem to have handled this coronavirus pandemic better, unlike the US where they are still struggling with it. Warner Bros is considering breaking the traditional distribution model by releasing TENET in places where the coronavirus pandemic is under greater control, such as China, South Korea, and Japan.
