Cary Fukunaga Adds Horror Touch to James Bond 'NO TIME TO DIE'

Kapanlagi.com - Many of the James Bond film series start with iconic and spectacular scenes. From the intense action in the opening of CASINO ROYALE to the tracking-shot technique in SPECTRE. Fans also expected the same spectacular scenes in Craig's final action as 007 in the film NO TIME TO DIE. However, it seems that fans will be slightly disappointed. Director Cary Fukunaga will instead present a horror atmosphere. He mentioned that it will be similar to IT that he did not direct.

Cary Fukunaga explained that this choice could be an interesting one because it will provide a psychological thriller sensation into the Bond film, which is synonymous with action. As reported by Indiewire, Fukunaga revealed that the opening scene of NO TIME TO DIE will present interesting visuals and interspersed dialogue in French.

This opening scene will tell the story of Madeleine's past (played by Lea Seydoux) and the trauma that arises from her encounter with Safin (Rami Malek).

Furthermore, Fukunaga stated that there will be a scene where villains wearing Noh masks, like clowns, will chase children around the house. This seems to recreate scenes from the film IT. Not without reason, Fukunaga did indeed develop two IT films in the early stages. He then left the IT project due to creative differences.

Fukunaga himself did not expect that the film "IT" that he had previously worked on would influence and give a little touch of horror to his Bond film "NO TIME TO DIE". The release of this film is planned to be opened in US cinemas on April 2, 2021.
