Darkseid Actor in 'JUSTICE LEAGUE' Wants His Character to Appear in Other DC Films

This happened because director Zack Snyder withdrew due to the death of his family and was replaced by Joss Whedon. Joss Whedon felt that the character Darkseid played by Ray Porter was not needed, so Ray Porter's version of Darkseid did not appear in JUSTICE LEAGUE (2017).

But now, a glimmer of hope has emerged. After the failure of JUSTICE LEAGUE (2017) and the emergence of leaked scenes that were already filmed when Zack Snyder was directing this film, DC fans have been calling on Warner Bros to release the Zack Snyder version of JUSTICE LEAGUE. Through social media, fans have been shouting #releasethesnydercut for 3 years until finally in mid-2020, Warner Bros announced that they will release the Zack Snyder version of JUSTICE LEAGUE. Fans hope that this film will feature many characters, especially Darkseid, Superman's arch-enemy.

When Ray Poeter was interviewed by Geek House Show about his appearance in Zack Snyder's version of JUSTICE LEAGUE, he said that this was a golden opportunity for him and the character Darkseid to appear again in other DC films.

"I am very hopeful. I would be happy if that happens, and I hope whoever works on the film will involve me. Yes, I hope for the future. And honestly, I personally like the continuation of the story in Zack Snyder's version of JUSTICE LEAGUE. So yes, I am very hopeful for the future. It will be fun. I haven't heard any other news, but I still hope," said the 55-year-old actor.

2. Potential Character

In the DC world, Darkseid is the terrifying ruler of the planet Apokolips and one of the strongest enemies ever faced by the Justice League, DC's superhero group. Darkseid's character is very popular among comic book lovers. Thanos, the great enemy of the Avengers, is a Marvel character inspired by Darkseid's popularity. However, because Thanos appeared on the big screen first, many consider Darkseid in Zack Snyder's version of JUSTICE LEAGUE to be imitating the Marvel film.

Currently, the crew of Zack Snyder's version of JUSTICE LEAGUE is doing reshoots to add scenes according to Zack Snyder's direction. This film will be released in 2021 exclusively on the HBO MAX streaming platform.
