A QUIET PLACE is one of the first post-apocalyptic horror films that was released in 2018, followed by its sequel in 2021. Both films tell the story of a family surviving after a brutal alien attack on Earth a few years earlier. In the first two films, Bryan Woods and Scott Beck developed the story and screenplay, while John Krasinski directed, rewrote their material, and served as the director.
 
In the previous two films, it revolved around the couple Evelyn Abbott and Lee Abbott who try to protect their three children from deadly alien attacks. Due to these attacks, they have to live in silence as the aliens hunt their prey by listening for sound.
 
With both films consistently receiving warm reception from audiences and critics, thanks to the performances of the cast, the film's atmosphere, and its unique story, it has garnered attention. The success of these two films is certainly one of the factors or reasons why Paramount Pictures wants to continue its expansion.
