A BOY CALLED CHRISTMAS tells the story of a boy named Nikolas who embarks on a journey north to find his father, who is on his way to find the village of the fairy tale elves, Elfheim. It is a dangerous journey and Nikolas faces many obstacles, but he eventually finds Elfheim, which can only be found by certain people. However, there he learns that humans are not well-received and he ends up being imprisoned.

This film is adapted from a children's book by Matt Haig, in addition to the books titled The Girl Who Saved Christmas and A Mouse Called Miika, which tell the story of Nikolas' friends and they will also appear in this film.
