Many netizens have stated that the last two films in the Jurassic Park franchise are considered failures in meeting the high expectations set by the first film JURASSIC PARK in 1993, leaving a bland impression among fans and critics.

JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH, which at the time of this article's release is currently showing in all cinemas in Indonesia, promises an experience that is closer to the first film released three decades ago compared to its two predecessors. With a fresher creative approach, enhanced horror elements, and direction from an expert in the monster genre, this film is touted to potentially restore the glory of this franchise.

The film returns to the main setting of a research island, an island that was initially unused because it was inhabited by dinosaurs deemed too dangerous. This harkens back to the original concept of Jurassic Park, rich with survival themes. Unlike the last two films FALLEN KINGDOM & WORLD DOMINION that showcased dinosaurs in big cities, this time the audience will be invited to once again delve into the real threats in the natural habitat of dinosaurs.

1. Nostalgia of the First Film

Viewers who followed from the first film will immediately feel nostalgic at the beginning of this film. Compared to previous films, JURRASIC WORLD: REBIRTH uses many adaptations from the first film. This makes franchise fans expect that this film is definitely better than the last few films.

The excitement is sweetened by the presence of the Reuben family along with his two daughters, Teresa and Isabella. It’s not just nostalgia; this latest installment of the franchise adds a more human touch, more than just a chase between humans and dinosaurs.

2. Flat at the Beginning, Starts with a Bang in the Middle

For KLovers who want tension throughout the film, you should lower your expectations because the first half hour of this film does not present thrilling actions and the pacing tends to be slow. In fact, some audience members were observed dozing off at the beginning of the film.

However, the intensity gradually increases in the middle of the film and immediately fulfills most of the expectations of the ticket buyers for this film directed by Gareth Edwards.

3. Scarlett Johansson The Five-Star Actress

Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett, the secret agent who takes on a dangerous mission and becomes the main face of this film. Acting alongside well-known names like Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend, this 40-year-old woman is able to bring a new color to this film.

Her dedication is beyond doubt. Without undermining previous film stars, the writer states that if the main character were not played by Scarlett Johansson, this film could potentially lose its essence. Five out of five stars are awarded to Scarlett Johansson.

4. An Unsatisfying Ending

The final scene that was supposed to make this film perfect actually looks less realistic. This is quite unfortunate because the audience was already satisfied with the exciting and intense adventure scenes. However, at the end of the film, there is a plot hole that leaves a nagging feeling when leaving the theater.

This film is one of the recommended movies for the school holiday season. A score of 7.5 out of 10 is given to this film, which had its script rewritten by David Koepp after 30 years. KLovers can witness an exciting and thrilling adventure, although the beginning of the film feels slow and provides an unsatisfying ending.
