These Hollywood Films Postpone Release Dates on the Big Screen

A QUIET PLACE PART II

After successfully entering the list of Top 10 Films of 2018 and receiving many award nominations including the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, John Krasinski now makes a sequel to the film A QUIET PLACE (2018). This horror genre film stars Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, and Emily Blunt who also participated in this film at the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

A QUIET PLACE PART II has a duration of 1 hour 37 minutes which was originally scheduled to be released on May 15, 2020, postponed to March 20, 2020. However, just one week after the release, John Krasinski who is also the writer of this film announced on his personal Twitter account that Paramount has rescheduled this sequel for September 4.

THE NEW MUTANTS

THE NEW MUTANTS is a film adaptation of the Marvel comic by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. This original American film is directed by Josh Boone who is also the screenwriter for this film. In this film, it tells the story of a group of young mutants being held in a secluded hospital. Strange events occur and test their mutant powers and friendships as they struggle to escape safely.

Long before the corona virus emerged, this horror fantasy genre film produced by Marvel Entertainment had been postponed for almost 2 years, until it will finally be released on April 3. Because of the current situation, this film has been postponed again to August 28, 2020. Wow, when will this pandemic end? Will it be postponed again?

FAST & FURIOUS 9

Not only A QUIET PLACE PART II and THE NEW MUTANTS that have postponed their release dates, this action film directed by Justin Lin has also decided to delay its release.

Universal Pictures has announced the delay in the release of this film. FAST & FURIOUS 9 which was originally scheduled to be released on May 22, will premiere in April 2021 due to concerns about the current coronavirus. "We will release this film globally, with North America as the opener on April 2," said Universal Pictures after being confirmed by IGN. FAST 9 is a sequel to the film THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS and will be the tenth film in the FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise. Fans who have followed this film from the main series must be curious, right?
