5 Famous KPOP Idols Who Almost Got Kicked Out of the Agency for Various Reasons as Trainees

1. Jimin BTS

Who would have thought, Jimin who is now very popular with BTS, actually had a unique story before debut. In an interview, Jimin BTS revealed that he was almost removed from the BTS line-up several times.

Even, Jimin revealed that there were some people at Big Hit Entertainment who opposed his debut with BTS. The main reason is because Jimin's dance style is very different from the usual K-POP idols, so he needed a lot of time to adjust.

"My background is contemporary dance. Because that type of dance is very different from the usual K-POP idol choreography, it gave me its own challenges," said Jimin.

Fortunately, Big Hit Entertainment still included Jimin in the debut line-up, so now he can bring a different choreography style to BTS.

2. Heechul Super Junior

In one episode of Happy Together, Heechul from Super Junior revealed that he was almost expelled from SM Entertainment during his trainee period.

This happened when one of the trainers asked him to listen to a Rock song and not to listen to the popular songs that were being learned. Heechul responded with dissatisfaction.

Heechul was then asked to write an apology letter. However, he refused, and as a result, he was suspended and asked to go home due to his perceived lack of good ethics.

Heechul eventually returned to SM Entertainment and debuted with Super Junior after the CEO, Lee Soo Man, personally asked him to come back.

3. Seolhyun AOA

During her trainee period, Seolhyun once skipped vocal and dance practice and chose to go to the cinema to watch Kungfu Panda 2 with some other trainees.

Because of this, Seolhyun received punishment from the agency. In fact, all trainees who violated the rules, including Seolhyun, were temporarily expelled from the agency.

However, they eventually called Seolhyun back and she debuted with AOA.

4. P.O Block B

P.O Block B has also had an uninteresting experience during his time as a trainee. As known, P.O and Mino WINNER went through their trainee period together in the same agency.

At that time, the agency chose to let go of P.O as a trainee, but allowed Mino to stay. Knowing this, Mino protested. P.O asked Mino not to worry too much about him, because his future was also important.

In the end, P.O managed to return to his trainee period after being able to go on a diet program and improve his skills. Although they didn't debut in the same group, P.O and Mino remain close friends until now.

5. Lay EXO

Lay EXO was once rumored to be expelled from SM Entertainment during his trainee period, because he fought with another trainee over a bowl of rice. As a result, SM Entertainment sent him back to China.

However, after that, SM Entertainment gave Lay another chance to work harder and become a better person. For that, Lay trained very hard day and night, until he finally debuted and succeeded with EXO.
