Actor Ji Soo Returns to South Korea After Career in the Philippines, Previously Involved in Bullying and Sexual Harassment Scandal

In a video uploaded on his TikTok, Ji Soo is seen happily strolling along the Han River while speaking in English with someone behind the camera. He appears to be wearing a white t-shirt with an outer and dark denim pants, along with a hat featuring the "LA" logo. The atmosphere depicted in the footage shows the actor wandering in the evening hours.

Until today, there are three posts that capture Ji Soo's exciting moments while in South Korea. These posts consist of eight photos plus one video on Instagram and three videos on the TikTok platform.

The first video showcasing Ji Soo in his homeland shows him enjoying the beautiful blooming cherry blossoms with a location tag in Seoul. A few days later, the actor posted a video featuring himself visiting the Han River and moments with his pet dog, Gongjoo.

The posts on his personal Instagram account are not much different from what he shared on TikTok. Ji Soo shared several photos of his closeness with Gongjoo with the caption, "A royal day out with Princess Gongjoo @my_name_is_gongjoo." In addition, he also added several images taken while around the Han River.

2. Alleged Perpetrator of Bullying and Sexual Harassment in Middle School

In 2021, Ji Soo was reported to have committed acts of bullying, violence, intimidation, and sexual harassment by several victims. This incident allegedly took place when the actor was still in middle school. The revelation of this scandal subsequently led to his dismissal from KeyEast Entertainment as well as the drama WHERE THE RIVER MOON RISES.

Shortly after his controversy became widely known, Ji Soo was reported to have tried to avoid public attention by enlisting for mandatory military service that same year. Two years later, the actor born on March 30, 1993, returned and admitted in an exclusive interview with Sports Chosun that the victims who reported him had opened the door to forgiveness for him.

Ji Soo hinted that he would return to the acting world after completing his mandatory military service. Despite still facing a lot of criticism due to the case surrounding him, he truly fulfilled that promise by appearing as a cast member in an action series titled BLACK RIDER in July 2024. This show is a series from the Philippines launched by GMA Network.

In BLACK RIDER, Ji Soo plays a character named Adrian Park. He is depicted as a man of Korean and Filipino descent who becomes a mentor to Vanessa "Bane" Bartolome (Yassi Pressman) in mastering weapons and shooting techniques. The actor also showcases his ability to converse in English and Tagalog in the series.

Currently, Ji Soo is signing contracts and is under the management of GLXY Talent Management. The South Korean actor was also seen attending the fundraising event GMA Gala 2024 initiated by GMA Network and successfully brought home the "Red Carpet Scene Stealer" award. His actions are seen as an effort to rebuild his image and career as an actor.
