EXO-SC Questioned About Songwriting Inspiration in '1 BILLION VIEWS' Album, From True Stories and Reminiscent of the Past

Kapanlagi.com - One of EXO's subunits, EXO-SC, has just made a comeback with their full album 1 BILLION VIEWS and the title track. They are currently in the promotional period, keeping them busy.

Kapanlagi.com had the opportunity to ask Sehun and Chanyeol about the inspiration behind their songwriting for the album. Both of them seemed enthusiastic in answering the question.

1. Life Story

FYI, Sehun and Chanyeol are credited as songwriters and lyricists for all the songs in this album. Sehun feels a great responsibility in the creation process.

"We have to write lyrics based on our own stories, which makes me have a bigger responsibility. When our stories are conveyed through the lyrics, we become curious and nervous, 'How will the listeners react?' But I still enjoy the process of making this album," said the youngest member of EXO, Sehun.

2. Remembering the Past

Everyone has their own muse or inspiration in creating, and so does Chanyeol when writing lyrics. For Chanyeol, when writing songs for the 1 BILLION VIEWS album, he was inspired by real-life stories.

"We remember the past in this album. We look back on our lives from the past until now. We think this album is about self-reflection and many other things," explained Chanyeol, as confirmed by Sehun.
