Gitlicious Proud of Reza Rahadian as Arya in 'My Lecturer My Husband', If There's a Chinese Version, I Want EXO to Play

Now, the name Gitlicious is once again being talked about because her work, inspired by Lay from EXO, will be adapted into a series by MD Entertainment production house. Although Gitlicious, or commonly called Mbak Git, is not directly involved in the production, she never expected that her novel would be made into a feature film version starring Prilly Latuconsina and Reza Rahadian.

"Of course, I was surprised when I first found out about this, especially since the cast includes top actors and actresses in the country. At that time, MD Entertainment themselves contacted me directly," said Mbak Git to Kapanlagi.com.

As mentioned earlier, Reza and Prilly were chosen as the two main characters in My Lecturer My Husband, namely Arya and Inggit. Although I haven't met these two top stars of the country directly, Mbak Git believes in their acting abilities.

"Inggit's witty character is very suitable to be played by Prilly Latuconsina, and for Kak Reza Rahadian, there is no character that is unsuitable for him to play. I am very happy and proud because they are the ones chosen to portray the characters Arya and Inggit," said Mbak Git.

News about My Lecturer My Husband inspired by Lay has reached international EXO fans, especially in the idol's home country, China. It even trended on Chinese social media. Mbak Git already knows about this and of course, she is very happy.

"I am very happy because it can create an image of 'fangirl' that has often received negative comments from netizens and can also achieve an accomplishment," she said.

3. Hoping Lay Can Portray the Character If There is a Chinese Version

Lastly, Kapanlagi.com had a little daydream with Mbak Git (who knows, it might come true). If there is a film producer in China who is interested in adapting the story of My Lecturer My Husband for television or the big screen, would Mbak Git want Lay, the inspiration giver, to portray the character Arya?

"Of course, I hope so. If it really happens, it would truly be like a dream come true," she said, also hoping that the series My Lecturer My Husband will be well-received and entertaining for the Indonesian society during the pandemic.
