South Korea mourns the loss of Choi Sung Bong, a singer who passed away at the age of 33. According to a police report shared by Yonhap, Choi Sung Bong was found lifeless in his home at 9:41 AM local time on June 20, 2023.

On June 20, popular popera singer Choi Sung Bong, famous for his performance on Korea's Got Talent in 2011, left a worrying "final message" on his YouTube channel.
Choi Sung Bong began the letter by stating that it was his farewell message to his fans. He also left details of his whereabouts in the letter.
"I am writing this message as a farewell to my fans. I want to let you all know that the love I have received over the years has been so great, and I have decided to bury it deep in my heart," said Choi Sung Bong.
Authorities immediately rushed to Choi Sung Bong's residence after being informed about the final message. Unfortunately, they found Choi Sung Bong dead after forcibly opening the singer's house door.
In his recent letter, Choi Sung Bong also apologized for what happened in 2021 and shared that he has been doing his best up to this point.
"I sincerely apologize to those who have suffered because of my foolish mistakes and the losses I have caused. Over the past two years, I have returned all donations to those who requested it," wrote Choi Sung Bong.
As known, Choi Sung Bong once deceived the public by falsely claiming to have been diagnosed with cancer in 2021. He took a photo wearing a fake hospital gown and received donation funds from fans.
After his lies were exposed, Choi Sung Bong, who was flooded with criticism, live-streamed himself on a bridge. At that time, Choi Sung Bong declared that he did not want to live anymore.
Choi Sung Bong's suicide attempt failed when the paramedic team arrived to rescue him from the bridge. After the incident, he posted an apology.
Choi Sung Bong himself made his debut after finishing second in Korea's Got Talent in 2011. He released an album in 2014. Rest in Peace Choi Sung Bong.
