The rock band from Cirebon, 4 Stars, officially launched their debut single titled Stay With Me through a soft launching event at Say Ya Cafe & Resto, Cirebon, on Sunday, January 19, 2024.
This event marked an important moment for the band consisting of Indra (vocals), Agus aka Suga (bass), Bambang aka Abenx (guitarist), and Yogi (drummer) to take their first steps in the Indonesian music industry. Here are the details.
“We are very happy, this is our first step to be more recognized in the wider music world,” said Suga, representing the gratitude of all band members for the launch of this song.
With full support from their management, Pras Production, 4 Bintang is determined to bring the name of Cirebon to the national music map and inspire other local musicians. Suga added that they want to showcase Cirebon's potential in the music industry. “We want to prove that Cirebon has musical talents that deserve to be recognized at the national level. This is our pride,” he asserted.
The song Tetap Bersamaku is a work by Pras Prasetyo, a music producer from Pras Production. This song has a deep meaning, as expressed by Indra, the vocalist of 4 Bintang. “The lyrics teach us about true love that can only be given to God. This song is very special to us because it is full of spiritual messages,” said Indra.
This band carries a romantic slow rock genre inspired by legendary musicians like Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. However, they still provide a modern touch typical of 4 Bintang to make their work feel fresh and relevant amidst the current music developments.
The recording process for this song took place over two days in a studio in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. Although brief, Suga revealed that the recording went smoothly without significant obstacles. “We maintain the characteristics of rock music, but also provide a modern touch, including in our performance. This is important to attract the attention of the younger generation,” explained Suga.
Wildan, the band's manager, explained that 4 Bintang has a strategy to create music that is easily accepted by listeners from various backgrounds. According to him, the element of romanticism combined with rock music will be an attraction in itself. “We strive to create songs that can touch the hearts of many people while maintaining quality. With this strategy, we hope that Tetap Bersamaku will be well received by listeners,” said Wildan.
