Andien, Barasuara, and Ikang Fawzi Perform in Concert to Appreciate COVID-19 Volunteers

Kapanlagi.com - Several efforts are made to keep volunteers motivated in fighting the coronavirus. Not only in the form of material, the Indonesia University Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) collaborates with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force to hold an appreciation concert.

Titled 'Concert 75 Suara Perjuangan', this event will be enlivened by the best musicians in the country. Among them are Andien, Barasuara, Tompi, Aning Katamsi, Nugie, Alika Islamadina, Ikang Fawzi, Kadri Mohamad, Sandhy Sondoro, and Harvey Malaiholo.

This event will be broadcast live on the ILUNI UI channel on Friday, August 28. So not only volunteers but also the general public can watch it for free.

1. Adhere to Health Protocols

Inviting the COVID-19 Task Force, of course, this concert adheres to health protocols amidst the pandemic. Even the involved crew is also limited.

"To prevent the spread of the outbreak, the committee, together with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force team, implements strict health protocols during the concert. Limiting the number of crew, performers, and sponsors is essential," said Chairman of ILUNI UI Nongki Wisaksono during the press conference before the concert.

"The audience will also be presented with an impressive music performance through a unique opportunity to witness the concert preparations from backstage and a closer experience with the performers through access to the artist waiting room," he continued.

Meanwhile, according to Ikang Fauzi, this event is appropriate to be held to appreciate medical personnel and volunteers. The University of Indonesia alumni also believe that in times like this, humanity is being tested.

"We are given a limited number because many are involved, so each performs two songs. I think what is suitable and because there is still a sense of independence, namely Gebyar-Gebyar, with improvisation and a little appreciation from me for the young talents," he concluded.
