This single by Roxann is taken from the album 'Ini Karya Roxann'. The name Roxann itself is taken from the Persian language, which means dawn or morning sun.

"The theme of the song Siti Nurbaya 2 tells the story of two lovers who do not receive their parents' blessing, but they continue to pursue it with their own struggle for victory and happiness," said Arie, the vocalist.

For their debut single, Roxann presents a distinctive fashion and modern alternative rock spirit in the available music video on digital platforms.

Formed in Bandung on August 17, 2018, Roxann hopes to contribute to the revival of rock music in the homeland.

"Almost throughout the year, rock musicians release their works, but not all of the released songs become hits, meaning they pass by and are forgotten. This reason strengthens us in creating songs in this rock genre," expressed Arie.

2. Wanting to Liberate the Rock Genre

"Roxann is trying to play heavy music in the music industry with compromises, meaning, in terms of releases we want to liberate the rock genre to make it crunchy and pleasing to the ears, but off air we will present our performance in a heavy manner, both in playing and distorting the modern rock sound like Roxxan," added Ilham.

Meanwhile, Azznawiyah, CEO of SMM music label, said that the single Siti Nurbaya 2 is not only a stepping stone for Roxann's music, but it can also become a new icon for rock bands in Indonesia. "Yes, of course, Roxann must become a hitsmaker in the rock music genre in the homeland," he concluded.
