About Him, Ashilla's Fun Project with Budi Doremi That Became Reality

Kapanlagi.com - More than a year has passed since her last work, Ashilla returns with a fresh feeling; a work titled About Him. This time she's not alone, there's Budi Doremi by her side.

It all started with Ashilla's playfulness in sending a voice note to Budi Doremi, "Kak Budi, is this notation good enough to be turned into a song?". They agreed to meet, create a demo, and immediately got the green light from producer Morin Chandra to proceed with production. Thus, their first collaboration project came to fruition.

"About Him tells the story of someone's emotional journey when experiencing a broken heart," Ashilla explained. "..and how to accept, face, and make peace with the pain that arises from intense feelings, namely love," added Budi Doremi.

"So, here's the thing. We have both experienced painful events, and it's not fair to only see heartbreak from the perspective of pain. We both agree to see it from a different point of view: heartbreak is not a fault. Through heartbreak, we can learn to accept and be grateful for being allowed to delve deeper into the matter of love," Budi Doremi added.

1. Not the First Time

Special

This is not the first time Ashilla has written lyrics, and together with Budi Doremi, Ashilla's ability has truly been honed. Furthermore, there is a collaboration with Morin Chandra & Tito P. Soenardi in terms of music, adding life to this work. With all the limitations during the pandemic, Tentang Dia was successfully completed in 7 months, concluding with the shooting of the music video on a beach in Ujung Kulon, Banten.

The music video Tentang Dia tells the story of a girl in the future who is heartbroken. Through the Heartbreak App, she orders an Android robot to accompany her in reconciling with her wounds and helping her move on with life. What's unique is that in this project, we have the opportunity to see Budi Doremi step out of his comfort zone: becoming the Android robot, with a different appearance than what we usually see, acting alongside and building chemistry with Ashilla. Did it succeed? That's what we need to prove together.

2. Help Heal Anyone

"Through the video and the song, I really want this work to be able to help heal anyone who is still / currently heartbroken. It's okay to be sad, but don't forget to make peace with the wounds and be ready to rise again," continued Ashilla.

"From my perspective, after listening to the song and watching the video, those who are sad don't become too sad. Anything excessive is not good; whether it's being sad or when loving someone," concluded Budi Doremi.

"Oh, I hope so. If people like the song and the video, InshaAllah, me, Budi Doremi, and dr.m also want to continue it into a web-series / short movie. Because actually, in the music video, we made it hanging; there is a continuation story that we want to present later on. Please pray so that there will be many viewers!" concluded Ashilla.
