Ari Lasso Calls Dewa 19 Audience at The 90's Festival Nineties All, Ahmad Dhani: Just Like You in Looks

The event held at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, managed to bring the audience back to the glory of past music. One of the most anticipated moments and the highlight of the event was the performance by Dewa 19.

Dewa 19 took the stage at the 90's Stage around 10:20 PM WIB, featuring two vocalists from different generations, Virzha and Ari Lasso. The band, which consists of Ahmad Dhani, Andra Ramadhan, and Yuke Sampurna, was able to evoke old memories through their timeless hits.

Virzha opened Dewa 19's performance by singing several hit songs such as Arjuna, Dewi, Pupus, and Risalah Hati. The last song, which is becoming popular again on TikTok thanks to the version by Yura Yunita, received a warm response from the audience. Before performing that song, Virzha jokingly commented on stage.

"Can't do it, Yur, now Dewa can make you fall in love," said Virzha, causing the audience to laugh.

After Virzha's performance, Ari Lasso took over the stage by performing songs that were truly popular in the 90s such as One, Love Will Bring You Back, Roman Picisan, and Missing.

Ari Lasso's distinctive voice successfully brought the audience into deep nostalgia, reminding them of the glory days of Dewa 19. Ari Lasso did not forget to make a joke about the audience present.

"Wow, the performance is totally from the nineties. You can tell from their faces, hahaha," said Ari, which was met with laughter from the audience.

"Because Dewa was a nineties singer, just like your face," added Ahmad Dhani.

"Yeah, it feels like looking in a mirror," replied Ari Lasso.

2. Duet with Virzha

As a closing act, Virzha returned to the stage to duet with Ari Lasso in the song Half of Breath. This collaboration became the final number that closed Dewa 19's performance at The 90's Festival 2024. The audience filling the festival area gave a warm applause for this impressive performance.

In addition to Dewa 19, a lineup of other veteran musicians from the homeland also rocked the three stages of The 90's Festival on the last day of this event. Starting from P-Project, T-Five, Rumahsakit, Funky Kopral, D.O.T, Tic Band, Noin Bullet, Shock Monkey, Pas Band, Frente, Search, Ebiet G. Ade, Basejam, Be3, Romeo, to Suede.
