Ariel Noah Admits Not Having a Good Acoustic Guitar When Recording the Song 'Semua Tentang Kita'

Kapanlagi.com - All the songs in Peterpan's albums will be re-recorded by the band group Noah in a project called 'Second Chance'. This project aims to refresh the old songs owned by Peterpan. Ariel and Noah plan to give a fresher arrangement in this project.

Ariel said that there seems to be something missing when Peterpan's songs are listened to on digital music platforms.

"Yesterday we had a conversation with Kang Capung (Java Jive), listening to Peterpan's cassette, he listened to it on his old cassette player. It sounded fine, but when you listen to it digitally, it sounds strange," said Ariel in a virtual press conference on Monday (28/6/2021).

1. Adapting to the Development of Time

Ariel admits that he wants to re-record Peterpan's songs to make them sound better, following the development of the times.

"So we feel that the songs, like the current era, need to be rejuvenated to fit the current situation," he said.

Not only the arrangements of Peterpan's songs. Lukman Noah, the guitarist, said that the sound of the previous Peterpan's guitar will also be completely changed.

"The guitar sound for almost all songs will be replaced," Lukman said.

2. Don't Have a Good Acoustic Guitar Yet

One of Peterpan's songs that will be re-recorded by Noah is Semua Tentang Kita. According to Ariel, the song should have been recorded using an acoustic guitar. Because at that time they didn't have a good acoustic guitar, they automatically recorded it with an electric guitar.

"For example, the recording of the song 'Semua Tentang Kita', we initially wanted to use an acoustic guitar but at that time, unfortunately, we didn't have a good acoustic guitar for recording, so we used an electric guitar. Now, Alhamdulillah, we can use an acoustic guitar, so it sounds like using an acoustic guitar," Ariel concluded.
