Band Om Om Releases a Remix of D.O.T Song with 80s Disco Music Touch

Kapanlagi.com - Band Om Om, consisting of Ferdy Tahier, Eza Yayang, Reynold Affandi, Ricky Bass, and Acoy, has released their latest single titled Jangan Jangan under AFE Records.

Jangan Jangan was previously popularized by the 90s band, D.O.T. Now, the song is being presented again by Band Om Om with a touch of 80s arrangement.

"In the past, we embraced the theme of the 1960s, more Rock N Roll. Now, we are going back to the 80s with a disco touch," said Ferdy Tahier during a press conference at Rendezvoo Cipete, South Jakarta, on Friday (1/3/2024).

This song arrangement process has its own uniqueness. Unlike most, this process does not involve music editing through computers, but is done directly during practice with live recordings.

"We arrange the song during practice, recorded directly, spontaneously. After that, we process it on the computer," said Ferdy Tahier.

The music video Jangan-Jangan was produced when Band OM OM was doing a soundcheck as the opening band for the vocal group WARNA's year-end concert.

2. Busy Schedule

The making of this music video successfully captured the joy and funny behavior of Band OM OM members during the soundcheck breaks.

Meanwhile, Band OM OM continues to have a busy schedule with radio visits and invitations as guest stars on several television shows.

Each band member has committed to meet and practice every Tuesday, showing a high dedication in managing their busy schedules.

"We are grateful to be able to manage our schedules without difficulty. Every Tuesday we gather and practice. Moreover, the promotional schedule has been arranged well in advance, making it easier for us to manage our time," concluded Ferdy Tahier.
