Celebrating 2 Years Drug-Free, Fariz RM Reveals Special and Important Figure in His Life

Kapanlagi.com - It has been 2 years since Fariz RM was released from prison after a drug abuse case. To celebrate, his closest friends surprised the 61-year-old man by holding a concert called '2 Years of Fariz RM Reborn'.

Fariz RM was invited to perform his various hits at the Grand Mahakam Hotel in Jakarta. The man with the full name Fariz Rustam Munaf admitted that he was very surprised by the support he received from his closest friends.

"Honestly, I was surprised. I was shocked, I didn't expect so much attention from my closest friends and also journalist friends. Today is very special for me. They are concerned about me and my life issues," said Fariz RM when met at the Grand Mahakam Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday (26/8/2020).

1. Important Figure in Fariz RM's Life

Among his closest people, Fariz mentioned the figure of Permata Belladona, the managing director of Fariz RM Management. It is also known that Permata has a special relationship with Fariz RM.

"I express my gratitude to Permata, a special and valuable person in my life to go through all of this. It's been 2 years since I've been free from drugs," added Fariz.

Permata admitted that keeping Fariz RM away from illegal drugs requires extra energy and mind. But one thing for sure, she is always by Fariz's side to watch over him so that he doesn't fall into the same hole again.

"If asked about treatment, there is almost none. What is certain is that he should be kept away from caffeine, that's the first month. Then also kept away from his friends who are not well. The slightly difficult part in taking care of him is when he has hallucinations, that's one example," said Permata, who is beside Fariz RM.

2. Living in Debt to Permata

Fariz did not hesitate to praise Permata. According to him, he has gained many positive things because of Permata's guidance after being released from his sentence.

"I feel deeply indebted to her because she has rebuilt my life after drug addiction. As for addiction, it's no longer there. But she reminds me about respect, about attitude," praised Fariz RM.

3. Self-Rehabilitation During the Pandemic

During this pandemic, Fariz RM utilizes his time to undergo self-rehabilitation while engaging in positive activities. He definitely does not want to be trapped in the chaotic world of illegal drugs again.

"Many people think that drug users only have problems with substance addiction. But it's not just that, it's the mindset. I have experienced chaos in my thoughts and behavior. For example, at 2 am, I would be craving and I had no control," said the singer of "Sakura" and "Barcelona."

"What I find difficult is not the detox. It's restoring the right way of thinking, that's the challenge. I dare to say that I haven't graduated yet," concluded Fariz RM.
