Commemorating 25 Years of Work, Badai Holds Collaborative Solo Concert with Dangdut Singers

Kapanlagi.com - Badai, formerly from Kerispatih, is holding another solo concert. This time, he will hold a concert titled 'Tak Lekang Oleh Waktu' (Not Faded by Time) to commemorate his 25 years of work in the music industry.

This solo concert will be held at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on January 19, 2024.

"I never expected to have a 25-year career. It started from being an office boy in Salemba Tengah until finally being trusted to arrange songs," said Badai when met at Nagaswara Office, Menteng, Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/11/2023).

Badai ensures that this concert will be very different from his previous concerts. Because in this solo concert, he will collaborate with several traditional musicians.

"This is my fifth concert at the age of 25. In this concert, I prioritize collaboration and culture. It's time for Badai to have songs that are broader and in the form of local wisdom. I collaborate with regional dances and several regional cultures, such as gamelan and others," he said.

Not only that, Badai will also collaborate with several singers such as Delon, Dudi Oris, and Randy Pangalila in performing his own songs.

2. Special Collaboration

"In this concert, I will perform 18-20 of my hit songs, some of which have been performed by my band, Agnezmo, Rossa, Andmesh, Afgan, and others. Of course, with different arrangements. But there are also some that are kept to maintain the mood of the audience who want to reminisce," said Badai.

What's interesting is that there will be a special collaboration performance between Badai and dangdut singers Duo Anggrek. According to Badai, he once wrote a dangdut song for Duo Anggrek titled Sumo (Susah Move On). The song is the only dangdut genre song created by Badai.

"Another difference in this concert is that I will collaborate with dangdut artists to perform my only dangdut genre song," said Badai.
