Although his career is still relatively short compared to Williams and Zimmer, Alan deserves to be considered as one of the genius composers in the film industry. Alan started his career as a film composer in 1972 at the age of 21. He first dabbled in his world by working on low-budget films, THE DOBERMAN GANG. 

Silvestri has received many awards. Not only that, he won the Best Original Score for Tom Hanks-starring film, FORREST GUMP. He also received Golden Globe nominations. He also has nine Grammy Award nominations. Alan Silvestri is truly amazing.
