In Memory of Dendy Mike's, Piyu Padi Reborn Presents the Song 'Dissolve' for Heart Disease Survivors

Kapanlagi.com - Singer and guitarist of the band Padi Reborn, Piyu has just released a new song titled Dissolve. A song written by Piyu in 2014 with his friend, the late Dendy Mulya Pasha or better known as Dendy Mike's who passed away in 2019 due to heart disease.

"A few months ago, I listened to that song (Dissolve). I was moved by the lyrics 'it's so related' and in my opinion, there is a message that hasn't been conveyed and something that hasn't been realized," said Piyu in a virtual press conference on Monday (7/6/2021).

"In the lyrics, I accidentally or how should I Dissolve, have to disappear, have to dissolve until my hair stands on end. Finally, I tried to mix the song," continued Piyu.

1. The Song Should Have Been Released in 2014

The song Dissolve should have been released in 2014 when Piyu was working on his solo album project. Unfortunately, due to some obstacles, the song was never completed until Dendy Mike's passing in October 2019.

"We were planning to finish it with a guitarist in France, but the project didn't materialize. Eventually, on October 6th, Dendy Mike left us forever due to a heart attack," said Piyu.

2. Fundraising for Heart Disease Survivors

After discussing with Cempaka, Dendy Mike's wife, Dissolve can finally be released alongside a fundraising campaign for heart disease survivors.

"We chose this campaign because what happened to the late Dendy Mike was related to the heart. So we hope this campaign can serve as a reminder to friends who may think that heart disease is only for older people or hereditary, but it can also happen at a productive age," said Piyu.

3. Piyu and the Late Dendy Mike's Very Close

Piyu and the late Dendy Mike's were musicians who were very close. They were so close that they even formed a music group called The Fronmant.

"Dendy is a vocalist whose voice I find interesting and captivating. There is a unique character in his voice that cannot be found in other singers. I like his character, which inspired me to collaborate with Dendy.

"We worked on several projects together, and once Dendy helped me with my solo project in 2014. Then we formed a band together called The Fronmant, and we had the opportunity to perform together a few times," Piyu concluded.

Dissolve is an act of kindness for the younger generation and heart disease survivors in Indonesia. This fundraising campaign involves donations managed by BenihBaik.com, the sale of 'Dissolve' merchandise in the form of a box set containing a t-shirt and a mask, managed by Tendencies with the design of the Artwork Icon Dissolve by Yongki Pardamean Simanjuntak, and the painting design by Tondi Hasibuan.
