Debut of CANTIQ Girlband in the Indonesian Music Industry, Preparing Two New Songs at Once

Kapanlagi.com - The emergence of girlbands in Indonesia has once again stirred up the music industry in the country. Not to be left behind, there is the CANTIQ girlband consisting of Salwa, Syla, Aquila, Queen, and Pipit.

It is known that CANTIQ will release two singles at once as their debut in the Indonesian music industry. First, CANTIQ will release a song titled Bidadari. Second, they will release the song Tunggu Dulu.

Both songs were created by Ivonne Mariana, an actress who is also the founder and Executive Producer of Flash Inter Music (FIMM DISTRA). Ivonne Mariana explained that actually, the two songs had been previously released by her other girlbands, The Charolla and Bening-Bening.

"These songs were previously sung by The Charolla, their older sister girlband. Why did we re-release them? Because at that time, they had not yet become a national hit. I said to Haikal (CANTIQ's vocal coach) 'I have a song, I want to make it a hit', maybe it was my feeling too. The kids were already there, 'okay, let's make it'," said Ivonne Mariana when met at GBK, on Tuesday (29/3/2022).

1. Well-Prepared

Various preparations have been made by the CANTIQ group ahead of the release of their two new songs, starting from cardio vocal training, blending vocals as a group, expression of lyrics, and running full. Vocal and physical training itself is carried out by FIMM DISTRA in collaboration with Haikal Baron, the runner-up of the second season of Akademi Fantasi Indosiar (AFI).

"That's why I want the song to be national. So hopefully it will be a hit. We will enter the recording studio in two weeks," said Ivonne Mariana.

2. Formed From Auditions

The CANTIQ group was formed from a closed audition process held by Flash Inter Music (FIMM DISTRA) founded by artist Ivonne Mariana Inawade. From the audition, five young and talented singers were chosen. In addition to vocal training, FIMM DISTRA also provides training in other fields, such as acting.

"Yes, we are ready to record, and we have to train again, practice every day," said Salwa, one of the CANTIQ group members.

3. Channeling Many Talents

Ivonne Mariana revealed that the development of the CANTIQ Girlband will be observed for one year. This is March-April, Ivonne will release the third, fourth and fifth songs by the end of December.

"We also channel acting for them, later for commercials, soap operas. But for now, we focus on music first," said Ivonne Mariana.
