Dream Come True, Dua Lipa Finally Collaborates With Madonna

The 24-year-old pop singer recently admitted that she wants her career to last as long as Madonna's. Meanwhile, her manager, Ben Mawson, openly teased Dua Lipa to collaborate with her idol.

Earlier this month, Ben Mawson responded to a question about what Dua Lipa needs to have a career like Madonna. "She will definitely have a long career. She is a complete package pop star whose albums are very inspired by Madonna" he revealed. "We are trying to get Madonna to record. I will also send her an email and make sure if she is ready to perform a song" he teased in response to the many questions about a duet between Dua Lipa and Madonna.

Ben also shared the story of how he first met Dua Lipa. "Dua Lipa told me that she aspired to be Madonna, when she was still 17 years old. The way she conveyed it made me believe in her." It's all about his personality, charisma, and competitiveness that he shows. He has it all, great potential to match Madonna.

Surprisingly, Dua Lipa announced her collaboration with Madonna. Not only Madonna, Dua Lipa also enlisted rap legend Missy Elliott. The three of them will collaborate to perform a remix of one of her songs, Levitating. The song Levitating will be remixed by DJ The Blessed Madonna.

Last Tuesday (28/7) on her official Twitter account, Dua Lipa talked about her dream duet. She wrote, "Levitating in remix form will feature DJ The Blessed Madonna, my idol Madonna, and Missy Elliott - August 14 - Dreams come true" using caps lock, as if to prove her enthusiasm for this duet. She also uploaded a teaser photo featuring Dua Lipa in the middle, flanked by Madonna, Missy Elliott, and DJ The Blessed Madonna.

Levitating itself is one of the songs on her latest album FUTURE NOSTALGIA released last March. In this album, the songs sung by her boyfriend Anwar Hadid have a strong 80s disco vibe. Similarly with the song Levitating which is suitable for party events. We look forward to how fantastic the duet of Dua Lipa with her idol will be.
