Epic Collaboration of Maliq & D'Essentials with Rhoma Irama at Pestapora 2025

Performing starting at 4:45 PM WIB, Maliq & D'Essentials were appointed as the opening act. They immediately surprised the audience by performing hit songs by Rhoma Irama such as Judi, Begadang, and Penasaran with their unique arrangements.

"Thank you for being here since 8 AM. Who is here for Friday prayers?" greeted Angga Puradiredja, the vocalist of Maliq & D’Essentials from the stage.

Angga then explained the special performance concept that they would present that afternoon. "This afternoon we will do something we have never done before. Sing Rhoma Irama's songs with Soneta Group and also sing along with Rhoma Irama," he said.

It was then Rhoma Irama and Soneta's turn to take over the stage. The King of Dangdut immediately praised the new arrangement presented by Maliq & D’Essentials.

"Maliq Maliq, Masyaallah. This is after my song got messed up by him. But it turned out cool, right?" said Rhoma Irama, greeted by cheers of agreement from the audience.

Not to be outdone, Rhoma Irama proved his class by performing popular songs by Maliq & D’Essentials, including Kumpul Bocah, Kita Bikin Romantis, and Senja Teduh Pelita

"How does it feel to sing the song Senja at dusk, look, the sky turns orange," said Rhoma, which further entertained the audience.

In between his performances, Rhoma again praised his collaborative partner.

"With music, the peaceful world becomes noisy, especially if Maliq is there. If there’s no Maliq, the world is quiet, so it’s not fun," said Rhoma, which was met with laughter from the audience

As a climax, the members of Maliq & D’Essentials returned to the stage. Together with Rhoma Irama and Soneta, they closed this historic collaboration by performing the legendary song Mirasantika.

This performance successfully made all the audience dance and sing along, becoming one of the unforgettable moments at Pestapora 2025.
